Palin Tells Beck: No Third Party

Thank god.  With her popularity she could have guaranteed a second term for Obama had she said otherwise.

I know, I know.  A lot of Libertarians will tell me that I’m a traitor for saying that.

I think it would be great if a Libertarian party could emerge as a viable third party. Unfortunately a third party that leans heavily to the right on fiscal issues like the Libertarian Party would only ensure a permanent Democratic Majority. Unfortunately, a lot of the less informed people out there don’t even know the difference between a Conservative and a Libertarian. As Libertarians we need to get out en masse and explain it in a way that the average person can understand.

I’ll agree that the Republican Party isn’t much better than the Democrat Party but, I’d like to try to slow the Lenin Express down for a bit. We’ll have to stick to the uneasy alliance with the GOP for now.

As Libertarians we have a great opportunity right now to transform the Republican Party and actually increase their popularity at the same time. The American People are disgusted with both parties at this point and a purge of the establishment Republicans along with an insurgency of Libertarian candidates would rocket the Republican Party to the stratosphere.

Americans are paying attention now like never before. All we need to do now is find the right Libertarian minded candidate and drag em kicking and screaming to the White House in 2012.

And, sorry to the Palin supporters, I just don’t think she’s the best choice. I like her, but I think she’s got quite of bit of work to do before she’s qualified for the job. We don’t need a celebrity, we need a scholar. She just hasn’t shown the depth of knowledge and the ability to articulate more complicated issues in a way that the average American Idol fan can follow. We need somebody that can speak to the right and the left in a way that they can understand.
