U. S. No Longer Considered Economically Free

In the Heritage Foundation/Wall Street Journal annual Index of Economic Freedom, The United States, for the first time has fallen out of the “economically free” category to “mostly free.” A drop of 2.7 points on a scale of 0 to 100. Canada is now considered the most economically free nation in the Americas.
